Marie-Anne Thieffry

After growing up in Normandy, Marie-Anne Thieffry attended ESAG-Penninghen and ENSAAMA-Olivier de Serres, graduating in interior architecture. She discovered cardboard in 2003, through the creations of architects Franck Gehry and Shigeru Ban, and opened her own studio in 2005. Her work revolves around various artistic fields: design, sculpture? with the use of cardboard as a common thread. A self-taught artist, she is constantly striving to improve her technique in order to offer her creations impeccable finishes. Pieces can be purchased directly from the workshop or from the online boutique via the website. Studio visits by appointment only.
The artist also organizes workshops to pass on the cardboard lace technique she has perfected herself. It's an opportunity to share her work and introduce people to the material she's so passionate about.
Two courses are available:
Cardboard lace and laminated cardboard" workshops - 4 days - 700 euros: to make and take home your own cardboard lace lamp, as well as a decorative piece in laminated cardboard. Courses run from Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm.
Tailor-made" workshops - 2 days - 350 euros: reserved for those who have completed the 4-day "Cardboard lace and laminated cardboard" workshop. These 2 days will enable you to push the technique a little further or go back over points that are causing you problems.
Number of participants limited to 2 per course.
