Canoeing and kayaking in Normandy, and more specifically on the River Eure, is a great way to enjoy the sunshine and scenery of the Seine-Eure region!

Where to hire a canoe in the Eure?

For a romantic walk

For an original romantic stroll, you can bet on canoeing in Normandy. Imagine wandering among the swans and water lilies with the one you love, gliding together down the river shaded by the foliage… it’s a bit of a change from walking or cycling. And for that, the best spot is undoubtedly the Eure; the river. Here, we suggest a route between Acquigny and Louviers for a lovely timeless walk lasting around 1h20. Take your time, enjoy the Normandy landscape. Treat yourself to the luxury of a short break by the water with your picnic, with waterproof canisters available to keep your belongings nice and dry. Your pets are also welcome on the canoes, so when do we get on board?

For a walk with the kids

What a joy to see your children thrilled to be able to go out on the water and filled with wonder at the sight of a swan or a family of little ducks. Give them these wonderful moments with the family day trip: you’ll leave from the Aventur’Eure base in Autheuil-Autouillet at 11am. At lunchtime, picnic at the Croix-Saint-Leufroy to replenish your strength. What’s more, the setting is really pleasant with its pretty manor houses. Then it’s a leisurely paddle to Heudreville-sur-Eure and the whole family is delighted!

For a thrilling ride

For the more daredevil or, adept at strong thrills, the Eure can also have a few surprises in store for its canoe-kayak visitors: the eaux vives! For this route, we embark at Louviers and head for Val-de-Reuil. A little longer, this one is 9km long and takes around 2h30 to complete. Hold on to your hats, whitewater lives up to its name, and the rapids are… rapid to say the least! But this route also has some much cooler sections, particularly on the Vaudreuil side. Make the most of it and get some rest!
