Louviers church guided tour groupWandering between narrow streets and canals, you’ll set off to discover Louviers, a former textile town. Picturesque districts, a flamboyant church, factories and contemporary monuments… Past and present come together in Louviers on an exciting journey along the water.

This château, overlooking the town and a pioneer of the French Renaissance, was built a few years before the châteaux of the Loire by the will of Cardinal Georges d’Amboise. It was transformed into a penitentiary and barracks, before the French state bought it in 1975 and undertook extensive works to restore it to its former splendour.

Meet Christophe and Hervé LE BER in their old fortified farmhouse, typical of the region. They will show you how foie gras and other goose and duck dishes are made. Apple products are transformed into cider, apple juice, spirits, jellies and jams. The tour will end with a tasting of the products made on site.
