Take to the road

on your bike!

Cross the Voie Verte between Pinterville and Pont-de-L’Arche.

Running alongside the water, this 30km route invites you to take a charming stroll along the banks of the Eure and Seine rivers near the Léry-Poses leisure centre. The route takes in sumptuous landscapes and lush countryside, with peaceful stops by the water: the old cloth-making town of Louviers with its museum, Notre-Dame church and Pénitents cloister, Val-de-Reuil with its walking trails, the Grande Noë bird sanctuary and Biotropica wildlife gardens, and the boating town of Poses with its dam, Seinoscope and Amfreville locks. In the fortified medieval town of Pont-de-l’Arche, don’t miss the church of Notre-Dame des Arts and Bonport Abbey.

An hour from Paris, the Voie Verte in Seine-Eure is conducive to delightful weekend bike rides for sports enthusiasts or explorers for a day!

With more than 50km of Voies Vertes and Véloroutes, this silent, economical and environmentally-friendly means of transport allows you to stroll freely between the towns, villages, lakes, forests and lush green countryside of Seine-Eure in complete safety.

A cycling destination

par excellence!

Tour the Véloroute between Saint-Pierre-du-Vauvray and the Léry-Poses leisure centre

On this route of almost 10km, always under the sign of water, follow the Seine bathed in the lights that so inspired the Impressionist painters. Enjoy exceptional natural sites with lovely panoramic views over the Seine valley, the meandering river and the surrounding hillsides.

At the crossroads of the 3 valleys of the Eure, Seine and Andelle, a stopover is a must at the Grande Noë bird sanctuary to observe almost 210 species of birds that find refuge there, including the largest continental colony of great cormorants in Normandy. Lac du Mesnil and Lac des Deux Amants are also prized for their enchanting charm and the plethora of sporting activities you can enjoy all year round.

As soon as you arrive in Seine-Eure, it couldn’t be easier to hire bikes locally between April and September. In Louviers, Pont-de-l’Arche or at the Léry-Poses leisure centre, you’ll find professional bike hire and repair specialists who will be delighted to welcome you and advise you. Between the classic bike, the VTC (Vélo Tout Chemin) and the mountain bike, you’re spoilt for choice!

In Seine-Eure, cycling is an art of living that finds its place in the daily commute of locals and visitors looking for an active holiday with family, lovers, friends or solo.
