On the banks of the Seine

Located on an arm of the Seine between Paris and Rouen, the Moulin d’Andé is an exceptional venue dedicated to music and entertainment. Dating back to the end of the 12th century, this timber-framed mill with its pendulum wheel is a real treasure and a listed historic monument. With its original mechanism, it is in fact the last remaining example of a “hanging mill” on the Seine.

In this timeless little village in the heart of 15 hectares of parkland, the Moulin d’Andé and the former outbuildings offer a superb example of Norman architecture, combining cob and half-timbering.

The green setting, the authenticity of this ancestral heritage and the gentle atmosphere have made the Moulin d’Andé a popular place to stay and a source of inspiration for many artists, writers, film-makers, actors and musicians.

Combine music and heritage

for some great moments of sharing!

More than a hundred concerts and shows punctuate the Moulin d’Andé’s musical programme throughout the year. The variety of rising stars on the bill complements a fine selection of internationally renowned artists. This diverse programme offers audiences the chance to enjoy classical music from a variety of angles: symphony concerts, piano recitals, chamber music, classical and jazz concerts…

In spring, the Moulin d’Andé organises the famous Alexandre Paley Festival, bringing together lovers and enthusiasts of classical music. A highlight in the Normandy music calendar! Over the course of a week, recitals and chamber music concerts make this musical rendezvous with the public a unique sensory experience for all.

Intimate and warm, the Moulin theatre allows a real sharing between the artists on the bill and the audience. After a concert, don’t miss the opportunity to chat with them in complete conviviality over cocktails or dinner.

During the Alexandre Paley Festival, extend the magic of the concerts by staying on site in one of the estate’s charming rooms. Enjoy privileged access to the concerts while taking full advantage of the Moulin d’Andé’s enchanting setting.
