Did you know?

Since 1962, the Moulin d’Andé has played host to thousands of artists including writers, painters, musicians and above all film-makers who have made their mark here and have been major figures in French literary, artistic and cinematic creation:

François Truffaut, Jean-Paul Rappeneau, Alain Cavalier, Simone Signoret, Georges Perec, Maurice Pons, Clara Malraux, Jean-Louis Trintignant and many other talents.

The mill is best known for having hosted the filming of “Le Combat dans l’île” starring Romy Schneider and “Jules et Jim” starring Jeanne Moreau; and it was in this context that the Centre d’Ecriture Cinématographique (CECI) was developed, which is now internationally renowned.
