It is in Poses, on the banks of the Seine, that Michèle Ratel, a renowned painter, has chosen to live, paint and exhibit her work. The Seine and its islands, which she discovers by boat, give her very personal interpretations of water. During your visit, she will talk to you about her passion for painting and the charm of her surroundings.

11h00 Lunch cruise in the Seine valley from Poses

At the heart of the Seine valley, come aboard the boat
“William the Conqueror” and experience a unique four-hour lunch cruise. You’ll follow the route of the mills and, at the bend in an arm of the Seine, you’ll discover one of our region’s proudest landmarks: the Moulin d’Andé, the last remaining example of the “pendant” mills. You’ll sail close to the village of Herqueville, where the shadow of Louis Renault still hangs in the air… You’ll appreciate both the well-kept gardens and the local wildlife, where fish and herons live side by side, finding here an ideal place to live and rest.

Extend your day with a visit to the Seinoscope

A visit to the Seinoscope will enable you to discover the fish observation chamber and appreciate the upwelling of many species of fish in the Seine. The aim is to ensure that migratory fish can swim upstream to cross the 4-metre difference in level caused by the dam, a 235-metre-long structure built between 1878 and 1881.
