<10:00 Self-guided tour of Claude Monet's house and gardens in Giverny
When Claude Monet set out in 1883 to find a place for himself and his family to live, he immediately recognised the special light of the Seine Valley in Giverny. To enter his house is to have the feeling that the artist is still there, that little or nothing has changed since his death. Like him in his time, you can’t help but pause for a long moment in front of the water lily pond and its famous Japanese bridge.
