What is Carré Saint-Cyr?

Between tradition and modernity, the art crafts of today and tomorrow have found a venue in Seine-Eure that reflects them. A former 15th-century church desecrated in 2000, Carré Saint-Cyr has been fully restored* to provide an elegant, bright setting for the beautiful objects that are regularly on display.

This place for discovering arts and crafts and the skills that sublimate materials to create exceptional pieces is sure to sharpen your knowledge, your curiosity and surprise you.

A veritable gallery of objets d’art, Carré Saint-Cyr offers themed exhibitions where the works are also available for sale.

* Carré Saint-Cyr was awarded the Fondation du patrimoine’s Sesame Prize for the rehabilitation of a place of worship on 26 June 2023.

Le Carré Saint-Cyr is part of a wider project designed to support and promote arts and crafts in Normandy: “la Fabrique des Métiers d’Art”, a truly dedicated regional ecosystem. As an integral part of this project, the Saint-Cyr space offers, in addition to its exhibition space, artisans’ workshops as well as a garden for exhibiting monumental works.

What Art professions?

Le Carré Saint-Cyr offers several themed exhibitions throughout the year, all under the banner of excellence. Visitors will be able to discover all the categories of craftsmanship: cabinetmaking, ceramics, glassmaking, mosaics, featherwork, textiles, etc. and many other skills placed at the service of fine craftsmanship.

Regularly renewed, the exhibitions on offer benefit from a meticulous scenography in a flexible space of nearly 300 m2.

The visit bears witness to the link that craftsmen have been able to create between tradition and modernity in a perfect mastery of techniques and gestures to create exceptional pieces combining beauty and creativity.

Every pclose to Paris, in Normandy, Carré Saint-Cyr offers an easily accessible gallery for lovers of arts and crafts, but also a cultural break for cyclists and walkers.

An opportunity to enjoy the very Norman charm of the commune of Le Vaudreuil, which hosts the site. The stroll along the banks of the Eure, along the nearby greenway, provides a real opportunity to unwind, while its renowned golf course will offer a sporting interlude for enthusiasts!

Le Carré Saint-Cyr offers guided tours by appointment for groups of 10 or more – Length of tour: 30 min to 1 hour.
