Rivers and lakes

for all anglers

A territory cut out for fishing

Halfway between Rouen and Paris, the fishing spots in Seine Eure delight enthusiasts of almost every fishing technique.

The meandering, untamed arms of the Eure and Seine rivers, most of them lined with trees and vegetation, are full of secret spots for river fishing that respects the environment and natural resources. Calm-water anglers will be delighted by the lakes at Acquigny, Léry-Poses and Lac Roger.

The Seine-Eure Tourist Office is a stockist for fishing cards, please visit us at 10 rue du Foch in Louviers.

Before choosing your fishing spot, be sure to check out the local anglers who are already there. They’re very friendly and often a source of good advice!

From the Eure to the Seine

And from Léry-Poses to Roger's Lake

Fishing in the Eure

A river of 2nd category for fish along its entire course, the Eure offers numerous fishing opportunities for all levels. The public domain stretches from the old Folleville lock at Louviers to its confluence with the Seine.

Up to Louviers, the Eure has alternating slow and deep areas that are favourable for barbel, gudgeon, chub, carp… A cyprinic river, it is home to bream, perch and pike as well as wild trout. After Louviers, the Eure is ideal for spearfishing (long rod, quiver, carp) and predator fishing.

On the Eure, the float-tube trend is on the up and up, providing access to untouchable spots from the banks. A “passion float-tube” course is available between Louviers and Incarville.

Fishing the Seine

As the largest waterway in the Eure department, recent years have seen a return of migratory fish, particularly Atlantic salmon, which spawn in one of its tributaries. There is carnivore fishing (pike-perch, perch, pike and catfish) as well as cyprinid fishing (carp, bream, chub, barbel). On the Seine, for carnivore fishing, take advantage of the Saint-Pierre-du-Vauvray river stopover, the slipway (Boulevard de la Seine in Le Manoir-sur-Seine) and the slipway (rue du Moulin in Andé).

Night carp fishing is permitted.

Fishing at Léry-Poses

On the 25 hectares of the 3 ponds in the Léry-Poses leisure park, fishing is open all year round. The lakes boast an astonishing diversity of fish: bleak, eel, pike, tench, common bream, rotengle, perch, pike-perch, roach, common carp, gudgeon, hotu, sun perch, sheatfish, glane.

You can fish for pike during the periods when pike fishing is open, but no thermal gear is allowed on the Lac des 2 Amants/Mesnil and the rowing pond. The use of float tube type boats is authorised, and electric boats for hire are available on a daily basis.

Carnassial fishing (pike, zander) is prohibited from the last Sunday in January until the first Sunday in May. Night fishing for eels is prohibited, while night fishing for carp is only permitted on the Seine from the Poses dam.

On the Lac des Deux Amants, a family trail has been awarded a label. A path, accessible to people with reduced mobility, leads to a 30-metre stretch where a wooden barrier allows fishing from the lake bank in complete safety. This fishing spot is well equipped: a car park, a pathway, fishing stations and sanitary facilities.

A slipway is available for carnivore fishing from boats (in rowing boats or float tubes).

Fishing at Roger’s Lake

80 km from Paris, in the Eure valley, at Fontaine Heudebourg between Louviers and Evreux – Clef Vallée de Seine, Roger’s Lake is an idyllic fishing site. The 5 ponds offer “no kill” carp fishing by day and night. Extend your fishing pleasure by staying on site around the ponds in chalets and mobile homes.

Fishing accessible to all

Leisure fishing is accessible to people with reduced mobility in Seine-Eure. A slipway and a secure line have been created at the Parc des Aulnes in Le Vaudreuil, as well as a Handipêche station at Place de la République in Poses.

For your weekends or holidays,
come fishing with peace of mind!
