Revisiting the pagan ceremonies of the summer solstice and St John’s Day, this friendly, fiery festival breaks down artistic genres and blends styles between music, theatre, dance and the visual arts. The result is spectacular: a variety of artistic and fantastic performances to delight everyone. Guaranteed to amaze!
Since summer 2022, the “les Embarqués en Escales” festival has offered two highlights based around the same love of entertainment and conviviality: a series of performances in several small towns in the Louviers region by renowned companies and a major rendezvous at Léry-Poses park in Normandy with numerous shows, concerts and entertainment and a magical evening of lights and reflections on the Lac des Deux-Amants.
The “Les Embarqués en Escales” Festival is free and open to all (although you should allow €5 for parking in the Léry-Poses park). It invites children and adults alike to share in the thrills and spills of magical encounters and convivial moments in the heart of a natural environment.
For two weeks, the Escales du Festival des Embarqués will travel to 10 communes in the Seine-Eure, offering free shows for all audiences and bringing the festivities to the heart of the villages.
This year, the selected communes are Pîtres, La Haye-Le-Comte, Heudebouville, Quatremare, La Harengère, Crasville, Acquigny, Andé, Heudreville-sur-Eure and Alizay.
Each commune will host a variety of performances suitable for all ages. Open-air theatre troupes will offer captivating plays combining humour and emotion. Circus artists will amaze spectators with their daring acrobatics and breathtaking acts. Talented musicians will liven up the streets with vibrant concerts, inviting audiences to dance and get carried away by the upbeat rhythms.
Enjoy these unique moments in Normandy, at the heart of the Festival des Embarqués festivities.
This year, the Festival des Embarqués will take place for the second time over two days, on 14 and 15 June 2025, at the Parc de Léry-Poses. This venue, known for its vast open spaces and outdoor activities, is perfect for shows on land and water.
Enjoy a varied programme including circus, theatre, music, dance and a grand aerial finale performed by the famous group Transe Express.
If you don’t already know them, the group Transe Express plays in open spaces to meet the public. The combination of theatre and music serves as a crucible for the sciences of the spectacular: the plastic arts, dance, fire, prowess… Shock creations that take over the stage, the street and unconventional spaces; plots to surprise audiences in their everyday lives; unprecedented adventures to stage the city, “pack and play” the highlights of our time.
The festival officially kicks off on Saturday 14 June at 12 noon, with festivities continuing until 2am. On Sunday 15 June, the gates will open to visitors from 11am until 7pm, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy the fine weather and sample the specialities of the many food-trucks present at the event.
The Léry-Poses park is just 15 minutes from Louviers and can be reached by bus on lines 7A and 7B of the Semo network, getting off at the Parc de Loisirs stop.
The festival will feature a host of food-trucks offering a wide variety of culinary delights.
